The additive for the lime reactor to increase the magnesium content.
In seawater aquariums, large amounts of calcium and magnesium are required to achieve optimal coral and calcareous algae growth.
However, due to the materials commonly used in the calcium reactor, the calcium content is increased more than the magnesium content.
This is compensated for by adding up to 10% magnesium to the material used.
This recommended amount of magnesium should not be exceeded, as this could lead to an excessive magnesium value in the aquarium.
When using magnesium pro in the aquarium, the magnesium content of the aquarium water should be checked regularly.
